The Chorus of Our Country
The day shall rain down like a raging bolt of fire,
The lightning of the souls will strike the vengeful liar,
A rush of heavenly hosts comes thundering down the spire,
The day keeps marching on.
He has entered into the fray from which he can never retreat,
He shall fight away the demons while standing on his feet,
A burst of flagrant power unleashed upon those he may meet,
He keeps marching on.
She has become worthy of being honored with the brave,
She ensured victory by making distress justice's slave,
In serving, she battles until her calling to the grave,
She keeps marching on.
They build upon the hill a citadel for which all men are free,
They defend its noble ramparts for the good of you and me,
A silent call into the night screams across the sea,
They keep marching on.
We create a temple that may be worthy of the Lord,
We offer glory to those who unsheathed the shining sword,
That the chorus of the country takes pride in the striking of its sweet chord,
We all keep marching on.
