• You must be at least 13 years old to submit a story.

  • A story by a student (1st to 12th grade) will be listed in the Student Patriots' Essay category or a new Story category in Student Patriots when the first one is received.)

• Stories from students 12 years old and under can be submitted by parents, guardians, or teachers, respectively, with the student's name and grade.  Email the story as an attachment in text or Word format with a brief explanation instead of submitting via the form below.  (Teachers can submit multiple stories as attachments via one email.)  Only the first name of the student will be listed unless the parent allows otherwise.
   

• Story must be . . .

  • In English

  • Non-political and non-partisan

  • Non-commercial oriented ... Primary intent cannot be for revenue generation.

  • Grammatically correct with breaks between each paragraph.

  • Must be at least 300 words

  • For all ages to read

  • Letter to or from a loved one or friend in the military qualifies, but requires permission from both parties.
     

• Subject matter must be positive in nature as the purpose is expressing one's love and pride of the United States of America whether it is about a person, place, item, and etc. 
  
  Here are a few story ideas that might apply to you...

  • a memorable event while serving in one of the military service

  • participating in an event related to a national holiday or another noble patriotic purpose

  • a tribute to a fallen hero

  • a son, father, husband, daughter, mother, wife, or other loved one in the military serving in harms way

  • a loved one who served in the military during World War II, Korean War, or Vietnam War and received one or more medals for heroism

  • a combat story involving you or loved one

  • a heroic effort by a firefighter, policeman, or another person in homeland security

  • a child doing something special with the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, other youth organization, or individually

  • a vacation / trip experience that instills love and pride of America
     

• Any negative comments / attacks (even indirectly) against any person, place, and/or country will result in story not being listed.

• Plagiarism will result in immediate removal.

• Use permission must be provided, if the story being submitted is copyright protected by another person / party.

• Stories without images must be submitted by the form below.

• Stories with images

  • Submit via email in text or Word format with images (jpeg format only) attached to email and not embedded with article.

  • Must include all the information as required via the submission form

A listing usually occurs within two weeks, but at times might require a longer period.
