Songs

• Song / Music must be free to use by USA Patriotism!

• You must be copyright owner . . . and at least 13 years old to submit.

• Song must be positive in nature as the purpose is expressing one's love and pride of the United States of America whether it is about a person, place, item, and etc . . . Songs that attack or comment negatively, even indirectly, against any person, place, and/or America will not be listed.

• Audio File Requirement - Two options

  1. Remote Link To Song's MP3 File
     Provide the URL of your song's mp3 file that is located on your site or from a site that will allow a USA Patriotism! visitor to hear it at your page without leaving the site.
     (e.g. http://www.mysite.com/music/mysong.mp3)

  2. Embedded MP3 Player (new option added December 8, 2007)
     Provide the code of an embedded MP3 player from an online service that allows your song to be listened to at USA Patriotism! without leaving the site. (Soundclick is one online service that offers an embedded MP3 player for your song that meets this requirement.)

• Video File Requirement (Embedded Player or Your Site)

  • From YouTube or Another Like Video Service
    Video / Flash presentation of a song can be be submitted by providing the embed code

  • From Your Site
    URLs from your site or another third party that allows remote viewing at USA Patriotism!
    (e.g. http://www.mysite.com/video/mysong.mpeg)

• Send an email to USA Patriotism! with the following . . .

  • The song / music's file location per the above requirements

  • Copyright date (include lyrics if you want)

  • Use permission statement allowing USA Patriotism! use of your artistic property.

  • Your thoughts about what inspired you to perform the song.

  • A bio that lets visitors know who you are.

  • At least one color photo (300 x 300 pixel max in jpeg or gif format) of the performing artist  is required for proper presentation.  (Song writer can also include his/her photo, if submitting a song performed by someone else.)

  • Contributors that allow listening to their performance at USA Patriotism have the option to... (1) List any other songs available including how one might be able to purchase via download or as part of a CD; (2) Any other pertinent information or images that can be included in the presentation that are proprietary to you.

  • Author / Copyright Ownership Acknowledgement
    I confirm that I am the author and copyright owner (or legal representative) of all artistic material furnished to USA Patriotism! for listing in its Performance section.

Email Verification Process
USA Patriotism! requires email verification to guard against spam, which means a first time email will result in an email from USA Patriotism! requesting you to reply to it before your submission can be received.

Use Permission and Non Removal Policy
Since the respective copyright owner (author, producer, photographer, or legal representative) grants use permission upon submission of their creative work (article, poem, story, song, video, photo, graphic, and/or other), they cannot be removed from USA Patriotism! once listed.
 

Listing Period
A listing usually occurs within two weeks, but at times might require a longer period.

Verifying Listing

• Initial submission... Notification will be emailed with the USA Patriotism! Contributor's badge (see sample above) for display on your site.

• Additional submission... Check via the Find feature at the top of each page and/or by browsing the respective section at USA Patriotism!
