| The Winds Of War | |
| Black clouds blanket this land, and souls are drowning in sand.
Enemy fire lights up the sky, as soldiers one by one die.
Down comes the black rain, every drop is a soldiers pain.
The winds of war are violent, and a soldiers cries are silent.
Soldiers fight every battle, in a fallen soldiers shadow.
The winds of war are cold, taking the young before they’re old.
Whispers on the wind, are voices of those, who died to defend.
Soldiers eyes black as coal, reflects another fallen soul.
The winds of war blow in the night, sounds of death have won the fight.
Walking along its deadly path, no escaping wars brutal wrath.
Screams of the dying are loud, freedom is a soldiers shroud.
The winds of war are calling, another soldier left falling.
Lifted up by an angels wings, he gave his life so freedom rings. | By Jamie Badour Copyright 2007 Listed June 14, 2007 |
