What Do You Believe?

Right to free speech,
Right to march,
Shout in the street
What you believe.

Stop the terror they want for all.
Stop the madness,
before more towers fall.
Fight for what you believe.

Protest the war.
Protest the violence.
Free to express
What you believe.

Whining wind, blowing sand.
Whining missiles, take cover
in a foreign land.
Fight for what you believe.

Block the roads.
Block the tunnels.
Shouting, No War!
What you believe.

Exploding grenade in a tent.
Exploding bombs,
Go where your sent.
Fight for what you believe.

Pick up a bottle.
Pick up a stick.
Push and shove. Peace?
What DO you believe?

Man in the square, tongue cut out.
Man with a gun.
Watch out! Watch out!
Fight for what you believe.

Caught in the light.
Caught by camera's eye.
VIOLENT FIGHT. For peace?
What DO you believe?

God, it hurts, I'm so scared.
God, please, I want to go home.
Don't want to die here, alone.
Fighting for what I believe.

Soldier bleeding, condition-grave.
Soldier watching with fading eyes,
a news report of the protestors rave.
DYING, for their freedom to FIGHT for what they believe.
