The Stormcountry as flag - small
Devastation throughout creation –
Who can escape in this great nation?
Strength and power gone –
Tell me friend, can we go on?

Our life seems vanished in the storm,
Tears and anger—faces forlorn;
Can healing come from stark destruction
When all around is vile corruption?

What’s the answer to our plight?
Shall we succumb, or shall we fight?
Is there hope for life again
For helpless women, children, men?

Will grieving be our destiny?
Will we be safe?  Will we be free?
We bind together in our sorrow;
Hope’s glimmer rises for tomorrow

We look to God and God alone;
His gift of love the way has shone,
A new tomorrow will arrive;
If we have faith, we will survive—

For when this life on earth is gone
Eternally we will live on—
How we spend time here is our choice—
America, listen to God’s voice!

For once again we hear His call
“I gave My Son--I gave my all."
Our perspective is so dim;
We measure life by flippant whim--

Write off God’s holiness above
Who wrapped the world in His great love,
We laugh and go our selfish way;
Then blame the Lord in our dismay—

America, listen to God’s voice!
Mend your ways—make a new choice
Once again, now hear God’s call,
“I gave My Son--I gave my all.”
