Hot and humid Vietnam,
and memories of firefights.

The dragon...
slaying ricepaddies in the dark of night
with tracers falling all around.
Helos humpin'
... fearful
and always watchin'
for what is never seen.

of a deadman,
... and remembering him.
War is a loneliness
that keeps us all
