War and Tragedy

Ground Zerocountry as flag - small
All was quiet you could not hear a sound
Nothing but silence in the air to be found.
What happened to create such a stir?
What happened to leave the world in a blur?
Three planes all innocent people were gone
They say that freedom comes with a cost is it wrong?
I watched the TV in complete awe
My mind frozen I thought it would never thaw
The world stopped turning on that very day
Stuck in fear, that is now the way
The families they are the ones that cry in the night.
Sleepless, wondering worrying what a sight
Many lost their lives, innocent and heroes
Many fought to save and lost lives at ground zero
We must never forget what happened that fateful day
On Sept 11, and everyday we need to sit and pray
That this never happens ever again
This type of war nobody will ever win
The soldiers, they will all still fight
Their families still cry into the night
They never come back to be the same
To think they would is so very lame
They fight for the innocent and the heroes
That lost their lives down at ground zero
So when you close your eyes and pray tonight
Pray for the families and soldiers that still fight
For the world stopped turning that very day
And changed the world… in not the same way
The innocence is gone and fear is now there
To a world that did not have to worry or care
That day we saw many, never to be a forgotten hero
The day the world stopped turning at ground Zero
God Bless America!
