First Thoughts of One's Loss | | When you loose a loved one in a war far from your home, it tears your heart wide open and makes you feel alone.
How could this have happened to the person that I love? Why did God not stop this while watching from up above?
Did their death serve a purpose? Was it really for a good? They loved this our country and did their duty as they should.
But what about those left behind to mourn the passing of our young? Sometimes it gets so hard to smile and hold our tongue.
Maybe as time passes I will be able to understand, why my loved one had to parish defending us in another land.
But for now I shall cry alone for my life feels incomplete. But I will always remember them as a proud member of our elite. | By Bernard Howe Copyright 2005 http://members.cox.net/berniehpoetry/ |
