Empty Shells |
 |
|
One shell cracked
and there he stood
a young boy racked
by war and blood.
Some turned away
ashamed to see
themselves one day
on bended knee.
With eyes rolled back
inside his head
he prayed to God
then joined the dead.
Some died full pack
that fateful day
their shells intact
too proud to pray. |
