Don't Tread On Me

"Don't tread on me"
My banner said,
And visions of liberty
Filled my head.

Proudly did we stand our ground
Armed and ready for the fight -
A fledging nation freedom bound,
Unyielding 'fore the tyrant's might.

A thousand colonists heard the call,
Sons and fathers, guns at hand -
American soldiers one and all,
And church bells rang across the land.

Many died but we won the day -
So swear by the blood of my fallen friends
To defend our new nation - the free USA
For the battle 'gainst tyranny never ends.
