The Bracelet |

| The piece of metal around my wrist, bears the name of a young man. I chose his name from a gathered list, of the souls forgotten in Nam.
I know his name and where he's from, I even know his age. I think of the day that he will come, and emerge from his darkened cage.
In the book he is a MIA, but in my mind he is alive. I pray to god I'll see the day, I can see him eye to eye.
But till then this metal band, shall remain around my wrist. Every time I see my hand, I see a boy that is missed.
I may never know if he is alive and well, or buried in Vietnam. Either way he is still in hell, along with his dad and mom. | By Lisa Zdankieiwicz Copyright 2005 Listed June 6, 2005 |
