The Eagles of America Stand

Our Eagles of America still stand, more than any land.
There in Iraq, they stand and some go to the Heavenly band.
Their motto is; America is worth fighting for; their love.
I know our Lord watches o’er them, from Heaven above.
 
Some wounded, some die there and again some come home.
Some see the death of friends and feel so all alone.
I pray God to protect these American eagles every day.
He is their maker; He is their Redeemer all the long way.
 
We pray for you all, men and women of the USA today.
I know before you go into battle; you kneel down and pray.
We stand behind you here; we gladly cheer you all on.
Soon we pray that our God in Heaven will bring you home.
 
We are so in awe of your strength and stamina to stand.
Knowing in an instant (you could be killed), for this land.
It is your land Eagles, of the USA; you are the very best.
Who are the others in the world that could take this test?
 
I pray all of you know we are with you one hundred percent
When Uncle Sam called, you fluffed those wings and went.
God bring back our people soon; we ask in Jesus name.
Keep them all safe dear Lord; let none be crippled nor maimed.
