Perilous Victorycountry as flag - small
The heroes who fought for freedom
Whose voices went unknown
The ones who died for liberty
Had to leave this world alone.

While on the field of battle
Or on a sandy beach
They glanced up to the sky
Their hands they would outreach.

While comforting the wounded
The men who stood nearby
Wiped away their tears
And tried hard not to cry.

Now the years have passed
And there never is a day
These men aren't remembered
In any special way.

The courage to do what's right
The inspiration they gave us then
Can be found in one place only
The hearts of those young men.
