Our Service People

How many, how many, have gone to war; today?
We miss them; we love them; each precious day
When will they be home; will we have to wait longer still?
We want to see them coming; over valley or hill.

These are the hero's of our nation that we; adore
Bring them home lord from another's; shore
They are gone too long, but we have hope; in Thee
That you Lord; will bring them back for us; to see.

They have been tortured, lonely, blue and; alone
It's time that our guys and girls; came on home
We miss them so much; surely love them so
But they were called and each one knew; they had to go.

We send up our Prayers each day; for those in need
Lord of Thine own help; they have planted good seed
Touch each heart and give them your hope; Lord
Send them home to family the ones we have adored.

Many won't come home, but we shall ever remember
Each child, spouse grandchild friend; him or her
Our hearts grieve for all the slain; though we live on.
Wishing our people; our loved ones were here at home.

Thank you troops of the USA; all depend on you today
It won't be long till you're all home; to my God I Pray
Take special care of them Lord; you know they are our love
And I know Thou will watch and care for them; from above.
