Our Heroes of America

We feel the mercy in our hearts for our loved ones at war,
The ones, who gave up freedom and traveled so far,
Leaving husband, wives and children to make the call
Defending our Nation are, I'd say they're clearly on the ball.

Sometimes this has to be, saving our nation to be free.
Our people do all they have of themselves; that is to be
We love them and we pray for each one there.
Asking our God for each one to, please take good care.

There is no other country like this Nation, the USA
Why would we not want to protect her every day?
America is the apple of every country’s eye.
That is why all our heroes are always standing by.

They leave in a moment’s notice from Uncle Sam.
Some stay there; some come home after their round.
Yet many die from enemies in this desert dirt.
We are so proud of you all, knowing you could be hurt.

Write to our heroes; tell them of our regret and pride
We shall always love and pray for them and be by their side.
We wait for all of you to come home, this time to stay.
We need to hug and love you all; that is the only way.
