Letter To A Fallen Soldier

Hello Son,
We are well
I hear you made it to Heaven
From the gates of Hell.

I don't have the words to thank you
For the high price you paid.
Sadly the road before you was already paved.

Thank You so much.
You gave it your all.
You made me so proud
When you answered the call.

Just like your father, your grandfather too,
They both died defending the RED, WHITE, And BLUE.
We owe them a lot
And now we owe you too.

I am sorry you will never again see
The land that you helped keep FREE,
But since you were so BRAVE and BOLD
You will now walk the streets of GOLD.

Well I guess I better go
Still lots to do you know.
Another letter yet to write
To a Daughter I lost overnight.

May GODS hands embrace you.
Your job here is done.
We will never forget YOU.
You are MY NATIVE SON.
