In the Silence |

I heard in the silence
words he’d dare not say
screams he can’t describe
still echoing today.
I gleaned for a moment
the impact of the dead
wounds that haven’t healed,
fat tears he hasn’t shed.
I saw the boy he was
the man he’d come to be
leaping from the photos
he slowly passed to me |
