For Our Troops

As our young men and women
march off to fight a war.
Defending all our rights
upon another's shore.

I pray for their safe keeping
and that they all return.
Lets give them the honor
that they so rightly earn.

And for those who gave it all
may your spirits persevere.
As we bow our heads in silence
and our eyes give off a tear.

I thank you from my heart
for my country and my rights.
May God bless you all
and raise to new heights.
