Eyes of Honor |
|
They hold their heads up high
To where the sun is beating down their
face, just above the horizon
Heads high, eyes up at that thirty
degree angle, full of honor, center
toward the sun,
Whether it is shining or not that day
You couldn't even tell that it fazes
these heroes
Our heroes.
They are honored to stare down that sun.
With almost as much pride and dignity as
the American flag itself.
This is what they were born to do.
This is who they want to be.
The sweat, the blood, the years of aging
as they serve our country.
Those big, blue haven't-shed-a-tear
eyes, full of honor
With almost as much pride and dignity as
the American flag itself.
Simple as simple gets; they are our
heroes.
They serve for our freedom and are proud
to do so.
This is what they were born to do,
And this is who they want to be. |
