I have heard them cry for mercy at the end,
Young men and women of all ages.
Bombs were dropping through the nights,
Medics ran to assist,
They knew of the deadly risks.
Our flag flies red, white, and blue in the winds,
Our soldiers will fight till the end.
Memorial Day is a day of prayer,
We honor the men and women who have passed away.
Freedom is here to stay,
It's our American way of life,
Veterans of many wars,
We fought for respect to our flag.
Memorial Day is the day of our red, white, and blue...
It will never fade away.
