Army Arrowscountry as flag - small
Indian scouts is what they were,
A crossed-arrow emblem upon their shirt.
Down thru history that emblem has come,
Now crest of the coat for S.F. One.

A small hand-held dagger hangs just below,
Symbolic of fighting, done personal and close.
Not a missile or cannon or long-barreled gun,
Representing the mission or how it is done.

Special Ops history is precious as gold,
With men whose stories will never be told.
They lie in their graves silent and dead,
Not telling lies made up in their head.

In jungles or deserts, mud or sand,
Stationed at Bragg or some foreign land,
Ready and willing to “cross o’ er that river”,
While pursuing the mission; “De Oppresso Liber”.
