A Prayer For The Brave

My little boy has grown to a man.
May he never see a foreign land
where lives are taken
and battles are fought.
May he never use his lessons taught,
so proud so strong so brave this man.
May he always have the upper hand
in these times of fear and times of pain.
May his life be spared, never taken in vain.
So keep him safe O Lord I pray.
Make him safe both night and day
as he does what he must for liberty.
Lord always bring him home to me.
So proud, so strong, so brave is he
along with his sisters and brothers you'll see.
They do what they do so that we can all be
the Home of brave and Land of the free.
