A poem / song of appreciation to the most remarkable nation on earth . . . From Canada with Love | | Thanks America |
|
| chorus What would our world be without America? Without her might and her democracy? What would our world be without America? Standing up for liberty
From the sands of Iwo Jima to a high tech desert storm She sent her sons and daughters to save us all from harm Always there for the underdog, no matter what the cost Without the mighty USA, all hope on earth is lost
On that fateful 9/11 day when those sons of Satan came Stead o' bringin' down Old Glory, they fired up freedom's flame Now, thanks to the will of God and the awesome power of love The stars 'n stripes fly higher, still guided from above
chorus
Lord knows she's had the power to conquer any land Just ask Japan and Germany who know her gentle hand There's never been a country from the dawn of God's first light That's done so much for freedom while tryin' to do what's right
So, from the highest mountain, let us shout it loud and clear "Free people of this planet hold Americans near and dear" From Europe, Britain and Canada to Australia's far off shore It's thanks to the Yanks for freedom, for now and ever more
