| The Big Day |  |
| Tomorrow is the Big Day,
It all comes down to this,
I’ll hold my head up high,
But I can’t imagine bliss!
I’ve got your ring around my neck
I wear it with all my pride
With your dog tags it sits near my heart,
The reason for the tears I’ve cried.
I pray that you keep God in your heart
And you’re country on your mind
Your faith and dedication will pay off
In the freedom they soon will find.
Here at home I wait for you,
I’ll tie a yellow ribbon around the tree
It’s because of you, my hero,
That our country is already free.
Tomorrow is the Big Day,
That I’ve been dreading thus far,
I’m selfish because it’s you who’ll fight
