| Silent Ranks | |
| I stand among the silent ranks That serves our country proud As you fight to set us free I shout my pride out loud.
The many goodbyes we've had to say Have cut me very deep But I let my scars cover it all You fight for liberty while we sleep.
Every day I fight my tears My weakness can't be shown My mind and heart are filled with fear But I represent you here at home.
You fight for the ones here at home So my hero, we cheer you on You risk your life every day Until all the evil is gone.
I stand among the silent ranks And I fly my flag up high You watch as they burn that flag For which you are willing to die.
This is for all the serving troops And the families here at home Our soldiers are able to fight Because of all the support you've shown. | By Kelly Rickard Copyright 2007 Listed March 5, 2007 http://www.myspace.com/kellyrickard |
