| I watched you once, as I had to turn away
I think to myself, there's more I have to say
And now I know it will happen again
I feel like I'm losing my best friend
Your brave, dedicated, proud and true
To defend our Country, our red white and blue
Please dear God keep him alert and safe
While he's in that far away place
Hear my prayers for him every night
While him and his brothers are away to fight
Our freedom is now in their hands
To keep us safe at home, on his own land
Bring him home to me, safe without harm
I miss him dear God, his wit and charm
Let me be able to him embrace
Let him come home from that far away place
Until that happens, stay by his side
Let him remember my ever lasting pride
I feel him in my heart and soul
For him I will be brave, for him I'll be bold
Bring him back home to me God
