| You were once here, but now only photos remain
Images speaking of the past, a time without strain
Now watching the news, wonder I do
Will I ever again hold you?
Cowardly men cover their faces
But you, you keep your courage visible
Letting every soul see your stone hard exterior
That protects and holds your determination inside
Those animals, who speak of their religion as hate
But O! How strange, when their holy book tells of love
Resentment is all they can spew, vultures who feed off of death
They can only explode, a mass of debris and fire
For that is what they are inside, the killers of the doves
But you, you keep your head high
And fly with strength inside, the eagle in the sky
So keep safe and never let the arrow of despair strike you, my brother | By Ashley Klein
