A Freedom Fighter's Birthdaycountry as flag - small
Oh, hey, can it be?
Another year older for me.
If I were back at home,
I'd call you on the phone.

We'd laugh and goof around
and maybe go out on the town.
I wouldn't think twice about the cost or the price
To be celebrating with friends and family.

Well, hey, this is where I'm meant to be,
helping other people as they learn to be free.
Isn't that a wonderful gift?
I know it sure gives me a lift.

The birthday gift that keep on giving,
a land that experiences a new way of living.
I've heard it's better to give than to receive,
and so I pledge to stand for liberty... or fall,
if that's what's meant to be.

Even though I'm far away,
I'll still be having a happy birthday.
I already own the gift of freedom.
Can anything ever top that one?

Think of me with a smile on your face,
and remember me when you say grace.
This birthday is bound to be
the most memorable one I'll ever see.

Thanks for your love and my best wishes.
Wish me a happy birthday and save up those kisses.
You're in my heart and on my mind,
it won't be long until I find... my way back to you.

Thank you, God, for this special birthday!
