| We are the current union of these United States.
If you've good intentions, you can enter through our gates.
We strive to remain the city, shining on the hill.
So accept our welcome, it's the land of freedom still.
Our way is not the only way, of that we are aware.
This country truly aims, to do its goodly share.
Like children we're reminded of where we had to start,
keeping this in mind, keeps us from being torn apart.
For even in our freedom we need to have restraints,
and take a rest from voicing all of our complaints.
Remind ourselves how thankful we all so ought to be,
for the freedom that we treasure comes with responsibility
If you've a mind to pledge allegiance, than enter one and all.
In a very short time you'll be standing proud and tall.
If you need a helping hand, we'll be there to provide.
Therefore, commit yourself to stand with us, side by side.
