| The Day To Remember |

| In the USA we have a very special day,
That we commemorate in the month of May.
This day was created to help us remember,
And to help keep alive freedom’s embers.
What is this special day am I speaking of?
It’s the day we remember mans ultimate love.
This one day we mull over deeper thoughts,
Pondering the price of the freedoms we’ve got.
During this distinctive time of the year,
We recall other’s actions permit liberty here.
Men of true valor paid the ultimate price!
Does this sacrifice make you think twice?
In hot or cold; in deserts, or in jungles of mud,
They did it by freely giving of their life’s blood,
They “earned” the freedom we squander today,
Giving their lives to stop freedom from going away.
As you enjoy a day away from the grind,
Please don’t let their sacrifice slip you mind.
Be very thankful for the freedom you enjoy.
