I love to see Old Glory paint the breeze,
It makes me feel like falling on my knees,
And singing praises unto God
For such a fertile sod,
For lakes and rivers, and the deep blue seas.
The sight is really something to behold,
It's almost like I've found a "pot o' gold,"
Its colors waving bright and true,
America's Red, White and Blue,
How else could freedom's victory be told.
Old Glory is our nation's strength and pride,
It flies o'er all our cities far and wide,
It waves for all the world to see
That we in America are free,
And by our constitution do abide.
God bless Old Glory waving in the breeze,
And keep it safe on land and on the seas,
That all the earth may hear the voice
Of freedom, and aloud rejoice,
And sing our nation's anthems just like me. |
