| I Thank God! |  |

I feel so thankful today,
for my renewed faith in mankind, hooray!
For the light of right that leads the way,
I thank God when I pray!
I feel so grateful for today,
another day to see my way.
For family and friends and a place to stay,
I thank God when I pray!
I feel especially blessed today,
my needs are met for another day
I’m a “work in progress” and that’s okay!
I thank God when I pray!.
I feel so undeserving today,
for self interest that oft leads me astray.
For forgiveness available to me each day,
I thank God when I pray!
I feel like shedding tears today,
for hope rekindled like a golden ray.
For the privilege to be born in the USA,
