| In These American Eyes |
|
| Her face has many colors Her garments have many styles Her shoes maybe worn and ragged But Her heart covers untold miles
She's tried to protect us all Who move inside Her gates And She gives Her love so freely Even though, Her, some may hate
She's still America No matter what they say She's still America The home of the free and brave
And though she'll never reach perfection In anybody's eyes She's still America In these American eyes
Yes, She's still America In these American eyes | By Mary Missildine Copyright 2005 Listed 9/08/2005 |
