give her strength to stand this day
help our leaders know the right path
give them words of wisdom to say.
Oh God, please bless America
may you give comfort and peace
reach out to those who are hurting
help put their minds at ease.
To our victims of Tuesdays tragedy
our respect we humbly pay
there are no words to offer
we know not what to say.
Little children without their daddies
husbands without their wives
women who are widowed
parents lost their little ones life.
We have watched as our loved ones
have gone away to war
but this time it was different
it was brought to our door.
Oh God please bless America
let freedom ring from shore to shore
gather us under your wing
as we stand united once more.
Our hearts and our thanks go out
to all the people who have worked so
tirelessly to rescue and recover.
Our prayers go with our men who
will face
the task of keeping America free...
