| Freedom To Worship God | 
|
| God, who is our Father,
Has opened up the way
For us to have the freedom we
Enjoy from day to day.
He knew it wouldn't happen
Unless His children came
To a land free from tyranny
Where they could stake their claim,
And live where they could worship Him,
And Jesus Christ, the Lord,
According to their conscience,
And live in sweet accord
With what the Prophets taught them
In days and years gone by,
And where the Gospel could return,
Man's needs to satisfy.
The world was waiting for a place
Where they could call their home,
A land of liberty and peace,
Far from England and Rome.
And through the powers of heaven,
And inspiration, too,
Men were led to this free land
Beneath the skies of blue.
It took a war with England
To break the bands of fear,
And build a great Democracy,
A land of freedom here.
God raised up men of courage
And faith and dedication,
Who gave their lives, their homes, their all,
To establish this great nation.
And you and I are blessed today
To enjoy this liberty,
And freedom as a gift from God,
And shape our destiny.
Praise God, ye men and nations,
And let your voice be heard
In praise and adoration,
For Prophets and God's word,
Restored in these, the latter days,
On this, the chosen land,
Where we may worship and obey
God's blessed sweet command.
And honor those who sacrificed
Their all, that we might be
Privileged to enjoy this land,
