| America is bleeding red
America is bleeding blue
Across our land
Emotions overspill, hard to keep
Bloodshed anew
The sap is sticky
Need to regroup
Take deep long breaths
Awkward aroused passion
Undermine too tricky
Delicate waters streams lawsuits
Election 2000 leaped into history
A deceased man comes in first
Too close for comfort
Polls drowned in protest; many suggest
Thick ice, can’t swim, icebergs thirst
Advice all around, apostasy may abound
The first lady ushered in a win
First one to do so
Bid for public office
Poised like a dolphin
The president near by
His face aglow
America is bleeding red
America is bleeding blue
Across our land
Red and blue runs deep
Precipitated promises
Might be our downfall
Chaotic recall
