July 6, 2009 -- The world's largest war memorial bronze sculpture (over 70 feet long, weighing 15-tons) is must see at the Veterans Memorial Museum in Branson, MO. This impressive, heart grabbing creation by Fred Hoppe features 50 life-size figures modeled after an World War II combat soldier from each of the 50 states . . . all shown storming a beach. Surrounding this amazing sculpture on the walls . . . are the names of the 400,000 plus American troops killed during World War II. Branson Veterans Task Force members (L to R - Carroll French, Paul Vicalvi, Ernie Bradley, Tom Goldsworthy, Barb Riggle, Dawn Easton, Tom Hayes, and Julie Peters) proudly stand near the Avenue of Freedom on July 5, 2010 after its official dedication . . . The the Avenue of Freedom honors veterans from past wars, present wars, heroes who gave their lives for freedom, and those who died in the attacks on September 11, 2001. Photo by USA Patriotism! Branson, MO (July 5, 2010) -- (L to R) David Bancroft (founder of USA Patriotism!) with members of the Branson Veterans Task Force, Paul Vicalvi, June Tillis, Ernie Bradley (President), Dick Erickson, Carroll French, and Tom Hayes in front of the world's largest war memorial bronze sculpture created by Fred Hoppe that features 50 life-size figures modeled after a World War II combat soldier from each of the 50 states . . . all shown storming a beach. They had just come from the the Avenue of Freedom dedication and for this photo related to the Branson Veterans Task Force association with the Spirit of 45. Grandson (Colby 15) of USA Patriotism! founder, David Bancroft, stands proudly in front of the World War II memorial bronze sculpture at the Veterans Memorial Museum in Branson, MO on July 5, 2010 . . . and across from the wall where is great-great Uncle Bernard Borer's name is listed with his fellow 400,000 plus WWII fallen American heroes (see below). The bronze sculpture is over 70 feet long, weighs 15-tons and it the world's largest. Branson, MO (July 5, 2010) -- Some of the names of the 400,000 plus WWII fallen American heroes on the walls that surround the World War II memorial bronze sculpture at the Veterans Memorial Museum in Branson, MO. Top left and near the ceiling is the name of Bernard Borer, the uncle of David Bancroft (USA Patriotism! founder) and twin brother of David Bancroft's mother.
Branson, MO -- Rankin Brothers, Mark and Matt, hold the Bronze Star Medals given to them by a disabled Vietnam War veteran between them after their evening show on July 7, 2010. The veteran was very moved by the tribute to the troops and veterans with the performance of "Unchained Melody" and the associated video. He requested that his name be withheld . . . in honor of his best friend who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving with him in Vietnam. He felt his friend deserved a medal too. David Bancroft (founder of USA Patriotism!) is on the far right next to Matt Rankin.
