To participate and join... Go to World Community Grid and register including selecting Patriots United as your team.  The final registration step is the downloading and installing of the no cost, non-invasive  software program . . . that works like a screen saver, only using a computer's resources when it would otherwise be idle and relinquishing the resources back to the users when they start using the computers again.  (You can also return to this page once you have completed the download and registration process to join the Patriots United team, if you forgot to join us during registration.)

The agent can also be run like an application, always running in the background unless specifically disabled/paused . . . And your computer never leaves your desk, and the project never interrupts your usual PC use.

The project software . . . cannot detect or transfer anything on your machine but project-specific information. It just allows your computer to screen molecules that may be developed into drugs to fight cancer and other terrible diseases. Each individual computer analyzes a few molecules and then sends the results back over the Internet for further research.

The computational power to perform research of this scale is only available through the generosity of patriots like you.

And just imagine the possibility of the collective efforts being the difference of saving lives of those even yet to be born.
