 I
encourage all visitors to this page to take a few minutes to
learn about how you can become involved in a "free" global
effort to find cures for all types of cancer and other terrible
diseases. Just imagine one day not having concern for a
life changing illness that is terminal or significantly impacts the
quality of your or a loved ones' remaining years.
 Well, it is why I became involved with the
World Community Grid, the world's largest public computing
research grid tackling projects that benefit humanity . . . and created the associated team
CureNow (formerly called "Patriots United"). I
did so in response to having several family
members and friends impacted by cancer and other debilitating illness . .
. including my oldest son surviving cancer and one of my
nieces dying from leukemia when she was only 20 years old.
In fact, the new name,
CureNow, came about in response to my wife being diagnosed with breast cancer.
AND SINCE YOU ARE VISITING THIS PAGE . . . it means that you
already qualify to become involved . . . as you have a computer (desktop, laptop, or tablet)
and internet access.
So, please now become involved
with this global effort that only needs some of your "unused
computer time" by...
Registering with "World Community Grid"
and
selecting CureNow as your team.
The final registration step is the downloading and installing the
"free" non-evasive software program, "BOINC" . .
. that works like a screen saver, only using a computer's resources
when it would otherwise be idle and relinquishing the resources back
to the users when they start using their computers again.
BOINC allows your computer to screen molecules
that may be developed into drugs to fight cancer and other
terrible diseases . . . and then sends the results back over the
Internet for further research with IBM's dedicated
support.
Put Your Outdated / Mothballed
Computers To Work...
You can even use an old computer that you are thinking
about giving away or recycling . . . by only having BOINC
running on it along with the computer's
operating system firewall. (I am doing it with an old computer
that has Windows XP and using its firewall along with
Microsoft's free anti-virus program, Security Essentials.)

- Runs in the background unless specifically
disabled/paused.
- The project never
interrupts your usual PC use.
- Cannot detect or transfer anything on your machine,
except
project-specific information.
The computational power to perform
research of this scale is only available through the
generosity of patriots like you!

the collective efforts being the collective efforts being the difference of saving thousands (or millions) of lives including those even yet to be born!
