Heritage Education Foundation
AHEF is a non-profit, non-partisan educational
foundation dedicated to the understanding and teaching of America's
factual and philosophical heritage to promote constructive
citizenship . . . along with freedom, unity, progress, and
responsibility among our students and citizens. AHEF
accomplishes this patriotic mission by writing, producing, and
distributing FREE K-12 lesson plans to teachers, students, and
families in all 50 states and through additional initiatives,
programs, and partnerships.
America's Promise Mobilizing people from every sector of American life to build the character and competence of our nation’s youth by fulfilling Five Promises: ongoing relationships with caring adults, safe places with structured activities, a healthy start, marketable skills, and opportunities to give back. Daughters of the American Revolution A volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education for children. DAR members volunteer more than 55,000 hours annually to veteran patients, award over $150,000 in scholarships and financial aid each year to students, and support schools for the underprivileged with annual donations exceeding one million dollars. It also is involved in many patriotic efforts including Project Patriot and several Patriotic Awards that recognizes deserving Americans for their respective noble deeds. Good Citizen Our mission is to teach Americans, especially young Americans, how to be effective citizens. We believe... The greatest threat to the country is that we are not fulfilling our roles as citizens. Citizenship goes well beyond voting, jury duty, and community service. Effective citizens can do simple, yet powerful things - citizen actions - and these citizen actions keep our country strong, vital and free. Through a variety of programs and services, the Foundation encourages people from all walks of life — businesses, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, low-income communities, families, youth, and older adults — to volunteer. The Foundation for the Defense of Democracies Non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. that conducts research and education on the war on terrorism. We produce independent analyses of global terrorist threats, exploring the historical, cultural, philosophical and ideological factors that drive terrorism and threaten the individual freedoms guaranteed within democratic societies. FDD is a non-partisan organization. The JOE FOSS Institute Dedicated to the restoration of patriotism, integrity and an appreciation for America's freedoms through its program of veterans inspiring patriotism in schools and youth organizations. United Way It invests in and activates the resources to make the greatest possible impact in communities across America. It brings communities together to focus on the most important needs in the community -- building partnerships, forging consensus and leveraging resources to make a measurable difference. |
