Giving Thanks For Our Blessed Holiday Season (December

Sixty-six years ago today in
1941, marked the beginning of the greatest challenge
to our beloved country’s independence and the
freedoms that all Americans enjoyed. With thanks to
God, the generation of this time united as one to
overcome what might have been . . . becoming our
greatest in what they did in effort and spilling of
blood on many foreign lands.
They did so too with many volunteering in the
military knowing what war could mean to them and
their loved ones. What a proud and noble deed for
love of America that allows us to enjoy today what
they fought and died for in World War II.
Well, in many ways the same
can be said for our current generation of young who all have

“volunteered” with many serving and having served in
harm’s way with the same mindset . . . in the name of
freedom and safeguarding the American way of life. |

It also made me think about the holiday season this time of the year
that we each celebrate in our respective faith way . . . with an
overwhelming majority doing so with our divine God in mind. I then
found myself writing the poem,
Holiday Blessings,
which I hope is a reminder of the sacrifices made that allow us to
enjoy the holiday season in December and all the other holidays too.
So, please keep our brave, honorable troops in your prayers and
thoughts during the holiday season . . . and provide words or more
to those serving in harms way and elsewhere who will not be home to
share in joyful celebration with their loved ones.
Wishing you, your loved ones, along with our treasured troops and
their families a very safe and happy holiday season! | David G. Bancroft Founder / Owner USA Patriotism! Copyright 2007 |
